Audition FAQ

Audition Date

The Village Voices Chorus auditions for next season will be held in when we start up again at North Lake Presbyterian by appointment only.  We are in need of male voices at this time.  Basses, baritones and tenors are encouraged to audition. ​

How do I get an appointment?

Please contact Val Hirsch at 352-250-2141. for an audition time.  ​

Do I have to be a resident and full-time?

Anyone who auditions needs to be a Villages Resident and able to commit to Friday morning rehearsals from 9 to noon at North Lake Presbyterian from late August through the first part of March, with time off during the Christmas Holiday.  ​

Do I have to prepare a piece for audition?

No. However, you will be asked to vocalize and sight-read.  Auditioners should also be able to read music and sing harmony.   ​

When are the concert dates?

There are two concerts this season -  Christmas, Dec and Spring, March 

Who is the conductor and accompanist?

The Chorus is conducted by Dr. John T. Lowe Jr. and accompanied by Sean Pollock and each concert includes a variety of music, from classical to pop.  

    Our next auditions will take place when we start up again.
